Welcome to Rohatyn Shepherds

Silverhill's Thunderstruck x Stirlingden Roxy of Anfarra

Born May 24, 2008

We have 10 strong, healthy pups from this litter!  6 males and 4 females.

These pups have all found new homes!

Day 1 (May 24, 2008)

After we convinced Roxy that she couldn't have the pups on our bed all went smoothly!  She was very calm and patient through the whole process and is enjoying doting on her new family!

Day 3 (May 26, 2008)

Today the pups had their first outing.  They went for a trip to the Vet to have their dewclaws professionally removed.

May 26, 2008

They have grown so much in two days - they are noticeably chubbier and stronger!

Day 5 (May 29, 2008) - Boys

Boys - May 29/08

Day 5 (May 29, 2008) - Girls

Girls - May 29/08

The pups are doing wonderfully - growing every day!  The sable ones are looking just gorgeous, and the black and tan ones are showing more tan every day.  Roxy is doing a great job of being a Mom - spending most of her time with them.

Day 6 - Naptime!

The pups are moving around alot more - holding their heads up and starting to try to stand up and walk rather than pulling themselves around.

Day 20

Today we started the pups on a mixture of puppy milk-replacer and soft dog food.  They are growing so quickly that we thought we'd give Roxy a helping hand with feeding her 10 pups.  The pups got the hang of it quickly and eagerly ate up the food.

We have also begun putting out the Nature's Miracle training pads for the pups which we will keep encouraging them to use.

Day 27 - (June 19, 2008)

The pups are changing quickly - they are now very aware of their surroundings.  They get excited when we come into the room, and especially if we are carrying food!  We have noticed that they often, but not always, make an effort to walk to the training pads when they need to go.

We have now put identifying collars on them and will start adding individual updates as well as the group updates.  Click on a picture below to see updates of that particular pup.  The pups are not identified in any particular order.

Day 29 (June 21, 2008)

We have been bringing the pups outside to investigate the outside world and to spend time with the other dogs. Thunder is very gentle with his babies, and both he and Sophie help Roxy keep them clean.

The pups are growing and changing quickly!  They still nap quite a bit, but when they are awake they are very busy playing and investigating.  They are always very excited to see us when we come around.  Roxy is still nursing them occassionally, and we are still supplementing them with soft food, but their teeth are in and they are quite capable of eating dry dog food. We have even noticed their ears are starting to try to stand up.

Today the pups went to see the Vet for their shots, deworming and micro-chipping.  All went well but I think the Vet was a little tired once he was finished with all of them!
