Day 3 - August 13, 2008 Today the pups had their first car-ride. They went to visit our Vet to have their dewclaws removed.
They are growing and getting stronger every day! |

Day 8 - August 18, 2008
The pups are doing wonderfully - they are very strong and are wiggling around the room and are starting to hold their heads up as they move.

Days 17 & 18 - August 27 & 28, 2008
The pups' eyes are wide open now, although they can only see shadows. They are also trying to walk on all four legs.

Day 20 - August 30
Today we started the pups off an a soft mixuture with a puppy milk replacer base inorder to take some of the burden off of Sophie. They absolutely loved it! We had no problem encouraging them to eat!
We have also started putting out puppy training pads for them - which has been hit and miss but we will continue to encourage them to use them.

Day 25 - September 4

The pups are now playing more with eachother, and they are starting to recognize and respond to us as they can see better. |

Day 27 - September 6
We've now moved the pups into our garage inorder to give them more space and to introduce them to the other dogs and to being outside.

Day 32 - September 11, 2008
The pups are doing great - chubby, healthy and happy. They are curious and we do our best to introduce them to new situations, locations, etc.
Their teeth are coming through nicely and they have started experimenting with hard dog food, but are still enjoying their soft mixture, and of course Mom.
They are very friendly and are very generous in giving kisses!

In addition we have also posted new pictures on the pups' individual pages - remember that the pictures don't necessarily depict their personalities - some pups were full of energy when I was taking the pictures and didn't want to sit still... others were ready for a nap. Enjoy the pictures!

Day 36 - September 15, 2008
The pups are following us around the yard frequently - investigating along the way.

Day 41 - September 20, 2008
The pups had a big day today! They had a car-ride to the Vet and had their shots and de-worming. They were also micro-chipped and all had their pictures taken. Incidentally, the purple spot you see on some of their heads in the pictures was just the Vet's way of marking which pups have been given their shots.

Day 49 - September 28, 2008
The pups continue to grow... mentally and physically. They are happy, confident, playful pups. They have fun investigating around the yard and playing with eachother and the other dogs.
 
Our girls instinctually dug a den in our trees - the pups had fun exploring in and around the den today (above).
