 As all of the pups in our last litter had deposits on them by the age of 4 weeks old we recommend early deposits to avoid disappointment. However please make sure you are ready for the commitment before putting a deposit down and please read the below adoption info, etc.

Before putting a deposit in on a pup with us, or with another Breeder, please give some serious thought to whether you will have the time and energy to devote to the pup. It can sometimes take alot of effort and patience to help your pup develop good habits. But the time and effort you put in when it's a pup can save you alot of grief in the future as it's often easier to teach good habits than it is to undo bad habits. Also, regardless of your experience with dogs, it's a good idea to do some reading before you bring a new pup home. Too much knowledge is never a bad thing. A good place to start is "The Art of Raising a Puppy" by the The Monks of New Skete (pictured on the left). Remember: a dog is a lifetime commitment. |

ADOPTION INFODeposits - We are happy to accept deposits once a litter is born to ensure your place in line for a pup. "Pick" will be established by the order of the deposits received - eg. 1st deposit on a male gets first pick of a male, 1st deposit on a female gets first pick of a female, etc. We encourage you not to make an official pick until after their individual personalities become more apparent, and preferably not until after we've done personality testing on the pups. Please remember that while color can be what attracts you initially to a pup it's more important for the long-term if you choose a pup by it's personality first and make color a secondary preference. Should a pup become un-sellable due to illness or death then the last person in line for "pick" of that particular sex will have his or her deposit refunded or transferred to a future litter (their choice). Otherwise there is no refund on deposits, so please be sure before making the commitment. Picking Up Your New Pup - Pups are generally ready to go to their new homes sometime after 7 weeks of age depending on their general health and readiness, etc. When the pups are picked up they will have had their first shots, deworming, vet checks, and will be microchipped. Dewclaws need to be done at 2 - 3 days of age - we will have them done when possible (by a Vet). The pups will come with a Health Record booklet, Veterinarian's Health Certificate and a "puppy goody bag" which will include any samples and coupons, toys, etc that I can get together for you, as well as some of the food they are on at the time. Free 6 week health insurance through Petsecure (Formerly Pet Plan) will also be included (Canadian residents only) -this insurance will take effect 48 hours after you pick your puppy up, and is only valid for puppies that remain with us for a minimum of 8 weeks old. Price quoted for pups includes GST but does not include any shipping charges. Pups can be shipped within Canada via Air Canada. At the time of pick-up there will be a short contract for us to sign - a copy of which can be viewed here: Contract as well as a CKC Non Breeding Agreement. Please let us know if you would like breeding rights as the suitability of the dog must be considered, and there is an extra charge for breeding rights. There will be no discounts on pups with minor issues which our veterinarian deems not necessary to be dealt with on examination at 6 weeks of age (eg. testicles that have not yet descended, minor hernias which the pup may grow out of, etc.) as these things are fairly common. These minor issues, if any, will be disclosed on the Veterinarian's Health Certificate. Anything that the Veterinarian deems should be dealt with in a timely manner while the pup is with us will be completely taken care of by us. I provide you with the above information now in the interest of full disclosure - inorder to avoid surprises and misunderstandings. Following the pick-up date - You will need to provide me with your choice of name for the pup within 4 weeks of picking up your puppy - if you're unable to provide a name to me within 4 weeks then we will randomly choose a name to register the pup with. Once i've received all of the pups' names they will be registered into your name(s) with the Canadian Kennel Club. When i've received the original CKC Certificate of Registration I will mail it to you along with the pup's pedigree information and some pictures of its time here. In the meantime you can view the pedigrees of the parents on the Boys and Girls pages. Each pup is given the love and attention it deserves during its time with us, and for that time it becomes a part of our family. We are entrusting the pups to you for the duration of their lives, and we hope you give them as much love and attention as they are willing to give you back. We hope you stay in touch after the adoption, and we hope you send us pictures and let us know how the pups are doing.
